The 11th Element
-
notes from my
journey
At the time when I
started to study
Bob Scheinfeld's
book The 11th Element"
I was already an experienced self growth
traveler and have tried quite a lot
different self improvement methods - with
more or less success. There were areas of my
life where my life was flourishing and
others where nothing whatsoever happened at
all, no matter how hard I tried and how much
effort I invested in following the
directions and advice outlined by my
teachers.
Why things work
sometimes and sometimes not is the exact
jumping-off point for The 11th Element.
The book makes it crystal clear how methods such as goal-setting, visualization,
pro-active action etc etc don't work and
brings into focus a entirely different
element - the so-called 11th element that's
the key to it all.
I
don't want to rob you of the experience so I
won't tell you about the content of the book
(or the course) - I'll just share how this
system has worked for me.
After all, the main
point for most of us is simply this:
Does it work? How does
it apply to me and my life?
What use is it?
I clearly remember the day I finally decided
to get the book and how I dived into it as
soon as it arrived - and only came back to
the world when I had finished the book and
was ready to start working with the method
itself.. I can't really say why it happened
this way - I suppose I somehow sensed this
was something special, something different.
A book that put a name to my frustrations
and at the same time gave me a tool that was
in a class by itself, something that I
expected could realistically improve my life.
For once, this single method did in fact
live up to my expectations. I used the tool
for one full year and it became a year where
I found new peace, where I became much
better at finding out what I wanted (and
not) and also much better at achieving it -
without interfering too much with the
process. The year reached its peak with some
radical and very positive changes in my life
- some of you will recall it as the year I
suddenly shut down all my online activities,
such as the Self Improvement Zone.
By the way: the reason why I only worked
with this system for a year, is because at
that point a Bob introduced a radical
development which he called
The 7 Power Centers of life. The
latter is not for everybody and so the 11th
element remains an extremely valuable tool.
